Burchfield Penney Art Center
In November 2008, the new Burchfield Penney Art Center opened to the public. The $33 million structure is the first new art museum to be built in Buffalo in more than a century and is the first "green" art museum in New York State. The museum is home to more than 7,800 works by more than 600 artists from Western New York, including the largest public collection of works by Charles E. Burchfield. The Burchfield Penney is accredited by the American Association of Museums. General admission to the Burchfield Penney is free to faculty, staff, and students of Buffalo State. Gallery hours are:
