Survey course designed to introduce students to the practical and theoretical foundations of conflict and conflict resolution to ground students in theories of conflict, their application, and the dynamics of conflict. Students are presented the basic concepts of conflict analysis and resolution, as well as various forms of intervention. Offered occasionally.

Prerequisite: Graduate standing or instructor permission. Introduction to the theories that are used to explain conflict in its myriad forms. Examination of the social, political, cultural, and economic forces that shape the historical and contemporary theories and ideologies of conflict. Offered every other fall semester.
