The Family and Consumer Sciences Education Undergraduate Program offers a broad knowledge of family and consumer sciences, plus skills in planning and communicating this knowledge to others.
The Bachelor of Science degree program in Family and Consumer Sciences Education leads to initial K-12 certification to teach Family and Consumer Sciences. Graduates from the Family and Consumer Sciences Education program are prepared to teach Family and Consumer Sciences. Students must meet with their academic advisor to verify all university requirements including upper division credit hours. The Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education is necessary for certification in order to obtain a teaching position.
