ACE at Buffalo State University is a comprehensive program designed to help students complete their academic journey to a bachelor’s degree on time. ACE provides a range of financial, academic, and personal support, including intensive academic advisement and career counseling, as well as tuition, textbook, and Bengal Bucks. ACE is located in Butler Library room 110A and 110B

Roar 2 Success

No matter what your high school experience was like, transitioning to college is a big step for all students. Roar 2 Success is a college support program for general admit, first year students at Buffalo State.

R.O.A.R. stands for Recognizing Opportunities & Achieving Results. The program focuses on helping first-year students to build collegiate awareness, develop and connect to a network of support, make an inaugural plan for your college success, and ultimately build the necessary skills to thrive at Buffalo State.

Currently, any prospective first-year student that confirms their intent to enroll at Buffalo State University and meets certain admissions requirements will be enrolled in the Roar 2 Success program. Currently this program supports students during their first year only. Additionally, students who are enrolled in the EOP, Honors Program, or are International admits are currently ineligible for Roar 2 Success. Enrolled students will be assigned to a professional staff on campus known as a Success Navigator.

The Benefits of being enrolled in the Roar 2 Success Program

The Roar 2 Success program prides itself on supporting students holistically. We know there is more to you than just what happens in the classroom. As a result, students in the Roar 2 Success program are wrapped with supports such as;

• An invitation to the Roar 2 Success Bengal Bound Summer Bridge program, which provides enrolled students with a kick start to their college transition.
• Access to a professional network dedicated to your collegiate success and led by your assigned Success Navigator.
• 1:1 custom success planning.
• Intentional courses that afford you space to discuss your collegiate transition, identify barriers, and offer solutions towards resolution.
• Access to private social events, Roar Rewards, and the Bengal Success Center.
• An instant community of peers, mentors, faculty, and staff all willing to advocate on your behalf to ensure you have what you need to succeed.
